STEP 8 – TIMELESS RECIPES

Are you ever asked to bring a dip to a get together for the vegetable tray? What if, instead of the ranch dip that is so common you made something new and tasty too?

GET TOGETHER VEGGIE DIP

• 1 c. Sour Cream

• 1 c. Plain Greek Yogurt

• 1 tsp. Worchestershire Sauce

• 3 Green Onions, finely minced

• 1/2 Cucumber, finely minced

• 1/8 tsp. Sea Salt

• 1/8 tsp. coarse cracked Black Pepper

• Basil Essential Oil (a toothpick swirl)

• OREGANO Essential Oil (a toothpick swirl)

Mix all the ingredients together, chill for an hour, serve and enjoy!

Or try this yummy LENTIL SOUP:

• 8 c. Chicken Broth

• 1-1/2 c. Water

• 1 c. crushed Tomatoes (canned with juice)

• 1 c. green or brown Lentils (rinsed well)

• 2 tbsp. Extra-Virgin Olive Oil

• 1 large Yellow Onion, chopped

• 3 large stalks Celery, chopped

• 2 large Carrots, chopped

• 3 small Red Potatoes, cut into small chunks

• 2-3 cloves Garlic, finely minced

• 2 tbsp. fresh Parsley, coarsely chopped

• Basil Essential Oil (toothpick swirl)

• OREGANO Essential Oil (toothpick swirl)

• Dill Essential Oil (toothpick swirl)

• 1/8 tsp. cracked Black Pepper

• Sea Salt to taste

Heat oil in a large pot and then add raw vegetables (onions, celery and carrots), cook until tender. Add in the garlic and continue to cook for another minute. Add in the chicken broth, water, and tomatoes (with juice), potatoes and lentils. Add the parsley and black pepper. Cover the pot and simmer for approximately 40 minutes or until the lentils are tender. Swirl in Basil, OREGANO, and Dill Essential Oils. Serve and enjoy.
